Default Re: 67 Z-28

Sounds like a rally good car. Look at the positive and negative things this car has to offer. Originality is huge anymore. I am finding out. I can not come close to affording a 67 Z so I bought a 68 Z. OE engine and trans are gone, but the car has very good potential. I paid near market value for it. But I looked at what I was getting and it was worth the sum of its parts. But missing all the Z28 only engine parts is expensive. You say you have been looking for 25 years. So you know what to look for and can compare this car to others. I know of a 67 near my home that is all apart. It needs light restoring and put together. It is a white RS, Deluxe interior car. And the price I have been told is 40k. The economy here is depressed so that is a lot for joe average. Like you stated, sounds like you answered your own question. But you just wanted some reassuence. Most nicely restored 67's you see average in the $125 range. Know what needs done to the car and what it will cost to get it to the level you want.
