It would be rare if it is a factory black car as that was not a standard color on the Camaro in 1970. Take a picture of the cowl tag if you go look at it.

I found out where he lives currently and realized I pass his place every time I head towards the in-laws. Will wheel in next time I see his truck in the driveway. They'll be the best iPhone pics I can get. Is a 4spd car.

Let me put eyes on it and take pics to determine its' originality. As far as it getting out to a show I know this guy well enough to know it'll probably never happen. It's not his style. He likes to go to car shows & swap meets and he'll talk about his stuff but I've known him since the 80's when we had high school study hall together and I've never actually been "up close" to any of his garaged stuff.

I have stopped down many times now and haven't found him at home. The one time his truck was there he wouldn't answer the door. Think I'll try right now come to think of it.
