That's right. The Magic Mirror Acrylic Lacquer logo appeared on the cowl tags in '59 and continued into '64 when the tags were changed to more of a GM corporate tag and the logo went away. The cars were still painted the same way though.
That item implies some sort of "treatment" was done to the cars after delivery. I've never seen it before and don't know what year its from. Verne [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif[/img]

The guy I got it from was into tri five stuff and he had some 63-64 and very little later 60's items. The aqua color is what's throwing me. I would imagine based on that design, 67-69, but I've never seen it. BIG

Sorry I couldn't have been more help, but as you said, I'm into the earlier years and I don't think this item is from those years. The GM logo makes it '64 or later, since all the plants were converted to GMAD after then.
It's an interesting piece that was obviously used at the dealer for some sort of application to the paint surface. It even has a blank where someone was to write a date when "it" was applied. Verne [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/flag.gif[/img] As you can see, this '64 tag from a late March St. Louis car already has eliminated any reference to Chevrolet and the Magic Mirror logo is gone.
