back then, at the parts counter, they where not always in boxes, they where in a waxy/heavy padded type paper that was wrapped around them individually..white on the outside and brown inside

ive had many sets and single nos dog dishes back 30 years ago and they where alway in wrapped paper with GM and a part number label...

gm reboxed stuff over the years..eventually they where in boxes..but ive seen many with just a label on them too

then there the dealer take offs that never made it on the car, or where pulled off when the car was sold with a wheel or wheel cover upgrade.. they where just loose and had a part number inside written with a pencil or china marker..mostly pencil
