Vintage Race/ Indianapolis Motor Speedway

June 5-8 , Sportscar Vintage Racing Assoc., ( SVRA )will have an invitational vintage race on the road course at the Speedway.They expect 500 cars for the event, cream of the crop from all over the US.Two Yenko Stingers have been invited...My YS037, driven by Logan Dernoshek ( Warren's son ) and YS085,driven early in it's life by Dr. Dick Thompson and Donna Mae Mims, now owned and driven by Jim Schardt.Should be an historic event....lots of press coverage.Will have Historic Indy cars and drivers also.

Just a reminder...Brickyard Invitational Vintage Races at IMS next week. 4 Yenko Stingers invited. Total of 620 top vintage race cars from all over the US. Parnelli Jones is Grand Marshall. Indycar Old Timers race on weekend,Indy cars, Camaros, Corvettes, TransAm Cars... lots of history on display.Stop by YS 037 in paddock and say hello.

Update.... YS037 won its race, D/Production, Group 3...fast qualifying and race lap 1:55 for the 2;44 mile 14 turn Grand Prix road course. Lots of spectators...if you were not there you missed an historic car show in motion ! Famous cars that are driven , not pushed from trailers to display.
