Standard bore- no vin found? Vin would be on a assembly built motor, unless it was decked. I say standard bore and maybe it was not worked on unless it had head gasket issues and the block was decked.

----Jeff,,,Im thinking that if he knows it has the "IT" code it must have the #s on the pad. A 321 block is just another big block with no guts, but an "IT/321" block is very special. It has to belong to a 68 L88 Corvette unless it was somehow an over-the-counter complete engine, but the car may not exist anymore. Maybe he also can only just spot the "IT" letters on a lightly decked head surface. He may not want to divulge the #s just yet for some reason.......Bill S

I understand. I was just asking if he saw a vin or if it was a ce block. I think they started the ce markings in 68. The 321 block empty was still special. It has thicker walls than other 427 blocks
