Eric, when my Vega came back from paint it was a mess before we could start reassembly. Mostly from wet sanding and final buffing. I used just plain elbow grease and wax and water to remove the crap. It was in every nook and cranny you can imagine, Even after it was put back together there were places that I would find that needed cleaning.
I know that is not much help but<span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold"> just use whatever is appropriate for the surface you are working on.</span></span> (ie. metal polish on the Weld wheels so and so forth.)
