That's cool it was from the Buffalo zone. Typically, the zone office was the charge to dealer and the car was shipped to a local deal for the new car prep work. Usually were cars ordered by zone reps or owners of dealers. If the file on your car showed zone 12, dealer 0....then are these records actually the dealer (location) charged instead of where it was shipped? (Most were the same)

Not sure I've ever seen a car shipped directly to the zone office as per the docs.

My old 71 Judge was a factory show car. I had two factory to dealer invoices. The original one showed the Pontiac zone office in Jenkintown, PA as the bill to or dealer. When you run the PHS report now and get a copy of the invoice it showed Ted Rapp Pontiac in NJ as the bill to dealer. If the original owner and other owners did not keep that document I would have never known that. The buildsheet showed the zone office as well. What was really cool was that the buildsheet in machine print stated tag for Detroit / Atlantic City Auto shows. So from my experience with a Pontiac GM did change the information when the Zone office car was sent or bought by a dealer.
