This is such a shame, but, it's one of those things that was bound to happen.
Al was a great friend and is truly missed. If any of you remember the Green Bay collection, this will dwarf that 10 fold. As I and a lot of you guys remember, he would go to Carlisle with the 40 ft. trailer and was allways a riot to be around.(if he knew you) Last I knew, the trailer was still parked out back ,still packed full. This collection would be better served as a Museum than an auction . One can only guess what is all there. This is one of those auction's you won't want to miss. To bad they have this spread out over 3 "Frecken" weeks. That is very poor management to me on the part of auction house. Just my two cents, Joe |

I first met Al when I paid what I thought was wayyy too much for a Yenko ZL-1 block for 3400 bucks. After a few years I realized he was in icon at Carlsile. A real character and carguy !! He had a few parts that I tried to buy for many years and he would not sell me..bummer to see them auctioned off now. God bless.
..does anyone have any specifics on the individual parts, etc.? how they plan on auctioning the stuff? |
