The 143, soft break-in springs and a set of GOOD EDM lifters and you should be fine. A roller does eliminate the hassle & worry of breaking in a flat tappet, but at roughly 3X the cost.

Several roller rockers will work under OE covers. One of the *tricks* is to use a set of short Crower poly locks on the intake rocker studs and use a thick valve cover gasket.
