Default Re: Shipping a car?!????

My price from Mike at 1 Flat Rate never waivered or changed during the process and car was delivered on date promised in November (weather not great) My situation is that my car did not run and I was getting some crazy prices because of that. I did my homework/research and found that 1 Flat rate had pretty good, consistent reviews. BTW, anybody going from Long Island west through Pittsburgh area anytime in the future.?

That's the same guy that I posted about, but Jim must not have seen my post. Maybe he will see this one?

Be very careful with brokers. They will quote you a cheap price, and they will not get a driver who can afford to haul at their price and make money. Most brokers want a deposit, this is their portion of the haul. The broker gets paid and they can't find a truck.

Mike at 1 Flat Rate didn't require anything $$ up front. I paid the driver his fee and a check for Flat Rate for their fee. Driver took car of dispersing the fees. Yes, not all brokers are legit, but these guys were a pleasure to deal with and were flat out cheaper than the big guys (although I was not shipping a ZL1 Camaro)
