Gary...your valve covers came from the guy that owns this car...
 Larry Christiansen brought out this cool Z28...an original JL8 car....mostly unrestored...        Notice the black paint underneath the header panel on this side...  Versus none on this side...

Versus none on this side... </div></div>the top of the cowl being painted stripe color is a Van Nuys thing, it makes it easy to determine a real 1st gen Z28 or Z-11 without the cowl tag codes that the Norwood cars had. The Norwood cars had body colored top of the cowl with stripe color overspray only in the vent areas.
