I was just having a conversation about W-30s and values and this car was brought up.
It seems that many people today look to the auction results and or value guides which are mostly a compilation of auction results. This may not always be a good value indicator for extra special cars. One of the reasons you see a big variance in prices of the W-Machines is that they are sometimes very difficult to document. A broadcast card can help to verify a true W-30, as it is only tied to the trim tag / body number, and it will NOT verify that the car was the more desirable and rare 4 speed. The W-Machines which have bullet proof documentation along with the other essentials tend to fetch, much more than the average "auction" car. |
