Not sure about acid rain spots, but I've had great luck with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water to remove sun baked water spots on boats.

After a lot of elbow grease the ole girl is starting to look better. Still a lot of work to do yet. Pictures are very forgiving for sure. I would post several more pictures but need to learn how to resize images.

I know the grill is wrong. I have the original but it is damaged.

You can try some Imperial hand glaze from 3M. You can buff with it but it seems that you have done that so rub on with a round applicator {Damp} by hand in a straight line{always follow body lines when you do ANY waxing} NO CIRCLES!!!!

I use the 3M Imperial hand glaze on my black 67 Nova that is Lacquer paint from 74 and it fills in any {glaze} scratches. It will be a tad tough getting off but well worth the trouble. I use diapers only so they won't scratch so use one to take most off and the second one to finishing cleaning. This stuff works well with todays paint for fine scratches or finger nail marks around door handles. Adams products are very good as well...the detail spray is just great!
