----I think what guys here are saying is that a trunkmat isnt permanent. It can be pulled out in a matter of seconds for a show or whatever. A trunkmat does help keep the trunk floor in nice condition and saves it from scratches, which would devalue a nice resto or just plain look nasty!......Bill S

Let me try to clarify my original post, which focused on trunk mat. The trunk mat was part of the Z87 custom interior option. With this option you also got sound deadening placed on the forward part of the trunk pan area.
Regarding hood insulation it was included on all ZL2 and SS hoods. If you have a flat hood, insulation was only available with the Z87 option. Hopefully I've answered your question.
