I recently bought a 1973 camaro ex 80's drag car, The firewall had a block off plate made to cover the factory ac hole to the top of the cowl. After removing the plate I noticed a square hole cut in the fire wall which went into the passenger side cowl (threw the fire wall) i was pretty stumped on why someone would cut a whole in the firewall until a few nights ago i was browsing threw google and saw a 1970 camaro equip with a cowl plenum air cleaner.

My question is was this a factory option on 70-73 cars I always thought it was just 67-68s?
