We left NJ today at 10 am. We got 130 miles and engine in my Suburban started smoking out the exhaust. Turned around and headed back home. The 6.5 diesel exploded 30 miles from home, luckily at my passenger's exit, 2 miles from his house. Had the Suburban towed to his driveway while my buddy's wife picked him up and drove him back to my home town where another buddy loaned us his brand new 2013 diesel Dodge. He then drove back to get me and the trailer. We were back on the road at 5:00 PM. It's now midnight and we are at Ohio border.
Is there a bad luck trophy contest? Because I think I'm in the running. This is one very expensive trip. |

Sorry to hear about your bad luck Steve. The silver lining for all of us is this is perfect timing for a new build thread from you. Kwhizz's build should be done pretty soon and we'll need something to keep us entertained over the winter months. Jake |

Looks like it was the head gasket. Blew the radiator catch tank cap off and and the rest of the coolant went out the exhaust pipe in a white mushroom cloud. |
