FWIW I've not had good luck with the new Delco regulators, actually no luck at all. They just didn't seam to function like the old ones. I had to switch to a solid state and replaced the cover with the old Delco one. I have no idea why, but after five or six pegging to full charge after a few weeks, I quit trying...
