Aust Ford driver reunited with his race car
Dick johnson is a near 70yr old racing legend here in OZ,similar to Bob Jane but a decade or so later. Here he is on a 1mile speed sprint in his 351C toploader 9" 79 Ford Falcon. That Cleveland sure sounds sweet.
enjoy.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA_garPb6DM

Re: Aust Ford driver reunited with his race car
God I love those Cleveland motors. Not much of a following here in the US, but they are one of these greatest Ford engines ever in my opinion. Canted valves, huge ports, etc.. Doesn't take much to make a fast Cleveland.

Re: Aust Ford driver reunited with his race car
I found this on BangShift. Its the same driver [as the above link]when he was a racer in 83,racing his Ford Falcon. Last year for the 351C in production cars for Australia.Running a 351C toploader 9" combo and prepped as a basic factory car,std suspension points, live axle etc.
The track is Bathurst, the holy grail of curcuit racing for us aussies.[Dont worry about the end of the clip, he raced the next day!] The 351 Clevo is really singing and must have been on the rpm limit. Turn it up guys!... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpNqdpVebMY
