Well, at the time,as a B/SA ,the record NHRA was 11.74 on the 1/4 mile and it ran 11.76 e.t.

Interesting story. Even though this was a Canadian ordered and sold Camaro, remember that the BB engines were still all built at the Tonawanda Plant and the cars themselves built in Norwood Ohio. It would make more sense that the ordering dealership installed an L88 Long / short block to suit the specific application. |
