Cool car! I noticed that the car has a Marshall County tag. Was this car still located in Marshall County? I am a native of Marshall County and have never seen it before. A guy that used to work for me used to tell me that his deceased uncle had a Nova with a 427 engine that came out of Porter Wagners 67 Corvette. He was wanting me to help him fix it up as he was wanting to buy it. He wouldn't let me look at it because he thought I would try to buy it out from under him. I wonder if this is the car. Owners last name was Moore.

I don't think so. Owners last name was Boles, and while it shows 427 emblems, it has the nbrs matching L78 396/402 in it. There's a possibility that this one might have been sold out of Albertville. Still checking on that. I think the one you're looking for is still out there. Cool story that the 427 came out of Wagoner's vette. Did he wreck the vette?

I was born and raised in Albertville.I called the guy that used to work for me tonight and he said that his Aunt sold the car and it was also a Black car. He said he thought the car was an automatic. Story was that Porter wrecked his Corvette and this guys uncle drove a truck for him and got the motor from him in like 1973. Was this car still in Albertville? I have a friend whose father in law has a 1970 Nova SS 396/375 that he bought new. He sold it in 1985 and bought it back a few years later. He wont let anybody even look at it. Anyway, it just goes to show you that they are still out there.

I got to see Jim Hanke (Wheel hop) last week when he picked the car up and I want to say it was good to see him again. I met Jim a few years ago when he came through my stompin grounds. Jim sure was Smiling while showing off pictures of his new Daughter . I wish we'd had more time but Chi-Town is a long drive from Sand Mountain Alabama.Wheel hop is good people
