Great picture. Was it possible to get the side stripe on a fathom blue car? Does anyone know when fathom blue went out of production and the date that the new style SS stripe went into production? Thanks

Dana's car YS8011 is Fathom Blue (- -) and has that stripe as well but no SS emblem and the low mounted Yenko badge and still wore it's original paint when I got it.

I never knew that Fathom Blue was still available as a special order color (--). Fathom Blue was no longer available as a regular production color starting Jan 68. I am guessing that Dana's car was built after January 1968. Thanks for the info.

From what I understand, Dana's car is deep water blue, a 67 color, hence the "--" for special paint.

The yenko in the photo appears to have an incorrectly painted SS stripe. It's probably an early 68 with the 67 style nose stripe, (before January 68)that yenko later decided to convert over the the 68 style stripe.

Starting in January of 1968, the 1968 SS cars received the D90 sport stripe package.
