Actually, it looks like you were building a fort for your kids to play in. All you need is an extra refrigerator box or two and you can have the entire castle.

Yea Steve, it took all morning to built the fort, and about 5 mins to paint the dash. It's a whole different project restoring a car that has already been painted. I've spent a number of hrs masking off the gold paint throughout this project.

I got a few more projects done on the Nova. The metal parts of the dash are always fun to paint. Had to redo it 3 times before the paint would stick, and not fisheye, but it came out nice.

I got the new shifter installed. Not a simple job with the Aurogear M22. The case is heftier, so the bracket for the shifter doesn't work without mods.....but I got some good advise from Ed Hartnett...done!

I also decided to redo the trunk. Too many scratches for me to deal with. It looks blotchy from the camera flash....It came out nice/looks great.

Also got the heater core in. So the whole unit can go in now.

I bought a new throwout bearing!!!...One that I didn't have to "throwout"..........The M22 is in, the shifter works fine, and some good news, the drive shaft works. I just have to restore it, and put new u-joints in it. The back u-joint has to be 2 sizes to fit the Moser rear yoke.

The shifter is thru the floor, but I have to enlarge the hole, and add the boot and trim plates.

Also got the rear window sill repainted, new package tray, and back seat divider, and insulation.

Thats it for now. I have a family wedding...back to work in a few days.

Wow, going very well.

That transmission is going to bang gears nicely.
