Simple math.
Normally reduces speedo cable by a percentage.
Yes, if you change to lower rear gears, you either need to change the speedo gears in the trans or use an adapter.
John Z has a great article on all the gear choices in the trans. They are color coded.
Can't remember if he posted on camaros.net or camaros.org. Maybe both.
