I was thinking of Pete this past weekend while cutting the lawn. Many memories came to mind, and as I pushed my lawnmower I tried to decide my best memory:

We were racing at Stanton, and Pete made a reference to Neal's L79 Nova ".... stock? more like 'Pro Stock'!". [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img] We were racing at Gateway, I asked Pete about shifting tips, his response? "Stop shifting like a granny, and you'll pick up a tenth or two!". I miss him.

Over the years I watched Eric and Owen spend time with Pete at the drag strip, and decided that I wanted that experience too - hence my foray into Jr Dragsters with my kiddies. I look forward to seeing Eric and Owen continuing on.
