The ones I have are not the same Donnie. About the only thing that looks the same is the end cap. These are also shorter. Could be for something on a truck.

If I can get the correct caps and get a locksmith to put them on I'll be good.
the caps are the only thing screwed up on my locks.

sYc is the best site for these critical but tiny time consuming details.

Great job guys.

Donnie, the locks are on the way to you. If it isn't too much trouble, would you post a picture of them whan they arrive? maybe someone here can identify what they are actually for.

I have access thru a friend to Curtis Code Books that lists all the keycodes for different GM cars/yrs, same for Ford and Mopar. He also has a lot of key blanks, not all blanks are the same. He has a key machine to cut them as well.

Some of the replacement caps (locksmith)are held on w/ (4) tabs that bend over instead of the 360` crimp. If you can find these they work very well as long as the outer contour is correct. The gasket will hide any difference on the back side. The tough part is removing the old crimped cap. I've pried and cut with side cutters and used small cut off wheel on a Dremel.
