maybe try a set of Delco (red) replacement shocks. maybe find a pair that is dated around 1972-73 because that is about the time most people probably would have replaced the originals. Now you will be dialed in Rob. Type in Delco Big D shocks on Ebay. They are dated so look at the listings. Got a real nice NOS set of them on my nova.
