Yes, my original on my 70 has the green face but it is easy to change the face out anyways. 70 has different knobs as well.

70 also has rubber on the cooling fins, not that is matters. Just a little trivia.

yes, this radio is out of a 72 according to the model tag: 72 Chevy A body

As noted earlier the knobs indicate 71 &amp; 72 as well but the radio will fit 70-72 and with a faceplate change would look correct for a 70.

They also used light green numbering on the 1970 8TK door as well,while using white numbering on the 71-72 8TK door.
If you change the overall dial face on this one,you'll have to change the 8TK door as well,or it will stand out like a sore thumb.

Mr70 is correct, the only thing showing white letters is the Eject Button. So it would take a bit of work to convert it over to look correct for a 1970, you are better off advertising that it is for a 1971 and 1972 Chevelle.
