Thanks for the PM Carmen. I do not remember the car at either Northstar Dragways or Minnesota Dragways but will check some old photos and see if I can find it in the background. Do you know about when the Red was sprayed Red?

Ok so i checked my notes.
In 1983 the car was bought in Oklahoma and brought to Minnesota. It was in Minnesota from 1983 to early 1990s. It was consigned at Hooked on Classics in Minnesota and sold with in a few days. It then went to California It was there until It came to Rochester NY. I Purchased it in 2006. So I guess what i am missing is form 1970-1983 and the trail goes cold in Oklahoma from 1983 prior. An interesting fact is in 1983 The guy who bought it was in the navy. He bought it from a gentleman in the navy who he did not know. I then bought it from a guy who was in the navy. |

Rick,
I appreciate your help. After checking my notes It would have never been raced in Minnesota. It would have been raced in Oklahoma in the 70s and early 80s. |

The car was red as far back as 1983.
It had some sweet white shag carpet across the rear package tray when I got it. |

Explains why I did not know the car. I moved from the Blaine area to Lakeville in 1985 which was about 40 miles to the south of Blaine. Street cruising was really quieting down by that time so I was not out on the street nearly as much. Also, red 70 Chevelles were common place back then so even if I had seen it I likely would not have paid much attention to it. I am surprised I do not know the previous owner as we may have graduated about the same time and I lived near him around that.
