Spent alot of weekends at that track. In the late 70's, Yenkos from Colonial were still running out there.
You have a Orange 69 Camaro?

I had the Orange Yenko Chevelle, and the two L78 69 Chevelles. I lived in Virginia Beach. If I remember correctly we got together over a Hurst Dual Gate Shifter you had for sale.

Regretfully, no. Retired. Moved. Started 2nd career. Married, kids. Been through twelve cars since being in Texas. Got a 55 gasser, and 2 70 Novas. One Nova has a thread going now. Post or PM a picture of your Camaro. I admired that car.

I grow up at that track. My dad raced a 67 camaro there for years. Drove it to work during the week and raced it on the weekend. I'll try and dig out the old pics he has. I remeber seeing Big Daddy, the Snake. Sherrly Modowny, the Mongoose, Jungle jim etcc,, all the big boys from the day. I sure do wish it was still open today. Suffolk misses the money it brought in back then to. Good ole times.
