Default Re: Planning ahead for Barrett-Jackson

Very easy to move about Westworld. Plan on lots of walking, be sure to have comfy footwear.

There are a few things to be aware of. Starting Friday afternoon it really starts to get crowded. By noon Saturday the ring and the area just outside will be absolutely packed. If you are not a registered bidder you're stuck in the stands in the auction tent. You will be elbow to elbow; people constantly climbing over you to get in/out. Sit as high up as you can get and try to stay put. We did general admission for a few years and had our fill. Even sitting in the ring is a challenge Friday/Saturday.

Get there early. I don't know if they still park general admission on the grounds but if they do you may be close enough to access your car. It can be cool early am and you don't want to haul a coat around for the entire day. If it has rained and the lots are flooded they will bus you in from maybe a mile away.

I do miss seeing the lot attendants in parkas, shivering in the 55º weather.
