Marty's book does say that the car was a base model Grenada Gold Camaro delivered by Simonin. The L88 427 was a replacement motor provided by Mahler. The car was painted white and lettering was added as well as Cragars and slicks. I would assume it was either a 327 or 307 maybe even a 250-6cyl. Either way, all that really matters is the racecar that it was turned into. I believe it hasn't been found. I think it said that somewhere in the book also

I can't say for sure but I think theres an old article called " Do The Factory Hop" and I might be wrong but I don't think it has the big block 427 fender emblems on it in the pics.
