Sounds like an L72 copo with HI PERF cast in the iron heads, no such thing on the alum. heads. The $4700 sticker price range is correct for a iron block copo.

I've spoken with him twice since your post. There are a LOT of things he's "foggy" on but the "all aluminum engine" isn't one of them. He's very adament about that. But, as you folks point out, there's a lot of points contradicting that. However, as you can see by the pic, we now have the plate number and the fuzz is on the case.
