Thats it's assembly date,when it was deemed a capable running engine.
T=Tonawanda engine plant.
05=May
01=1st day

Seeing as the block was cast in April '71,sounds like it was one of the over the parts counter available engines during 1971.

That seems to make the most sense. Thanks for all the good info guys.


Anyone have any idea what this might be worth when it is done? I'm putting it back as stock as possible.
