I would bet my last buck she was texting.

I spend a lot of time on the freeways between LA and San Diego. It's scary as hell to look around you at the drivers you are sharing the road with. Half are looking down, texting. The other half are yammering away with the phone to their ear with only a half a clue what's going on around them. This is at 70 MPH. People could care less both are ticketable offenses, and I never hear of the CHP enforcing the law anyway. People get killed all the time, drivers guily of being the cause have their lives ruined, and still it goes on and on.

If I get an incoming call I know is important, it's "I'm behind the wheel, call you back when I can." If it's really important, I pull over or exit.
