Just inherited my fathers 69 Copo Camaro that he bought brand new in May of 69. I have all original paperwork, including original title(which I have not transferred to my name), retail order for motor vehicle form and original cash receipt from Dealer. It has 11k miles and I am looking to "freshen" it to make it perfect and would like to get some advice on who might be best to contact.
Thanks in advance. |

Congrats on owning/inheriting a great car and you have come to the right place for advice. Hopefully your dad passed it onto you just due to his age and not due to his passing.
There are several on board that can help you with the freshing up of your car, me included. We do a lot of survivor and clean up cars so we are not new to it. Check out our web page and "Revival and maintenence section". Welcome aboard!

Congrats on the car - sorry to hear you got it thru an inheritance. Im sure it has alot of special meaning.
Ask away about the car and what your planning to do. A few pics would be great!

Congrats and welcome to the site. Please post pics and dont do any freshening yet. A lot of times mistakes are made and the car would have been better left alone.

Good advice by Charley. You must be careful with survivor cars to preserve OE finishes. Hopefully it was stored well.
Where you at ? Would be nice if you work on your profile. Looking forward to some good photos, and details about your car, always great to see survivor cars. If you need help posting photos, just ask. Mike |

Wow..thanks for the well wishes and welcoming. I am located in Ohio and am challenged as far as the pictures are concerned. Should I be cautious in posting VIN's and that sort of thing? I think I read on here something about theft and the like and I also saw another post about a guy following a Copo across the country that didnt even belong to him. My dad has even had the original dealership contact him at his residence out West over the years(after he moved out there from his hometown) about the car...kinda concerns me this day and age. Thoughts? Thanks again everyone!

I think all the Copo Camaros are in Ohio aren't they!? Yes your car could be found with a vin # that is known so keep that to yourself if you don't anyone contacting you. We look forward to hearing the details about your car; dealership/color/condition/etc. We're still waiting for the 200 mile original owner Yenko Camaro to appear, it will be nice to see a real car surface.
