Default Re: Tune up time for a 440 375 HP, opinions needed

Is this the right location to hook up the Positive wire from the pertronix kit.
I read that running the pertronix directly to the coil positive side is not enough voltage for a 440 with a balister and it will cause the system to burn out.
The balister is the best place to connect the positive from the Pertronix as it gives it it's full 12 volts required.
Is this correct??
