Trim tag picture added. Call or email me if you are an interested buyer. I won't go into detail on the car through the forum.

Seems that if this were me I would want to clear the air in writing and have all of these questions answered. FYI: One of the questions that was asked about your "unrestored" camaro was if it had spoilers originally. The front and rear spoiler were added. That option would be next to X33 on the trim tag and would read D80. |

The car could have the D80 option, but it would not be on the trim tag.

Just an FYI. I spoke with Spencer last week and discussed why it was clearly not an "unrestored" car based on the pics. I had hoped/thought he would have modified the ad to reflect that the car had been restored at some point. As with any purchase let the buyer beware. I think at this point we are beating a dead horse.

[/quote] Could be, but I would tend not to be so possitive due to the other facts that we have discovered. |

I believe that use of D80 on the trim tags has been pinned down with'in a week or two.

We know within a couple of weeks when this practice started. The ONLY folks out there who believe an 02D tag "could" have a D80 designation imprinted are the poor suckers (along with the friends of those poor suckers) who unwittingly bought a car with a fake trim tag and are still holding out hope that just <span style="font-weight: bold">maybe</span> there were one or two of the earler cars that just happened to get a D80 imprint by some wild coincidence. What "other facts" have been discovered that would indicate a Feb. car getting a D80 imprint on the trim tag? Normally, those kinds of "facts" are nothing more than statements from some guy who says he has been in the hobby for 35 plus years and he has seen many early such examples. Fake tags have been around for over 24 years, and fake stamps even longer.

If the story will make all the difference, then spill-it on your next post. I personally think you don't want a previous owner to contradict the story.

Why not go into detail here? I know that if I had ANY questions on a supposed un-restored 69 Camaro, this would be the FIRST place I would be asking questions. This site is where you will find some of the most knowledgeable people on the subject. It could help you sell it. You may have to change your description of the car though.
