Default Re: anyone familiar with royal purple?

I have no experience with it. I had a great experience with Amsoil in a 1977 Suburban I had, original 454 truck. It had Amsoil since new (original owner was an Amsoil dealer) and it never needed any engine work, except a fuel pump at 200k! I don't even recall when I got rid of it, but it was still running great!

So I kinda became an Amsoil fanboy. They have a pretty complete line and some great compelling data.I'm sure Royal Purple make good oil too. What is it you are looking to achieve or protect with the Royal Purple?
