Yes, probably #1 convertible conversion produced by the company, which I believe they started doing in 1979. I've seen quite a few convertible 79 Trans Am convertibles over the years.
As for the 454, that had to be something an owner did. This ad is from Flagstaff, and states that the car was in AZ and CA its whole life. DKM was in Arizona, and they were doing the Macho T/A conversions, but they stuck with Pontiac engines.
