Default 1967 Corvette 427

I’m listing this car for a friend;

1967 Corvette convertible 427/390. White/red interior, built the first week of ’67 production (#663). This is an unusual color combination of white with red interior and red stinger. The car has the original 427/390 HP motor with its original stamp, original M20 transmission and 3.36 rear gear. The car was sold new in Phoenix, AZ and stayed there most of its life. It has unusual options with power brakes, white wall tires (reproduction redlines now) and posi traction rear. It has no radio and has never had a radio installed. The dash has never been cut for a radio and the rear deck has never been drilled for an antenna.

The car comes with a bevy of paperwork including the original window sticker, the original Warranty Plate, and the original tank sticker that’s weathered, but readable. The car also has supporting dealer paperwork and new vehicle inspection document.

The car was repainted in lacquer a number of years ago and still shows well. The interior has been restored with the exception of the nice original door panels. The chassis is for the most part original and nice since it’s an Arizona car. The motor has been rebuilt and the engine compartment has been restored.

The car was just judged at the October 2011 Frisco, TX Regional NCRS meet and received a Top Flight award (96%). This was its first time ever being judged.

The negative part of the car is that at one time it had all four fenders mildly flared. These have been repaired, but the front bonding strips have been cut and removed in the area where the flares were. The body is original aside from where the flares were repaired, everything fits well.

The car is priced at $120,000, I’m selling for a local friend and I can put you in touch with him. [email protected] 512-657-1989.

This is an early car, the first week of production. The window sticker shows evidence of being mailed to the dealer and the entire VIN is typed. Many early cars have typed VIN's as the window stickers couldn't be released until a certain date.

Due to personal reasons, the owner of this car will need to sell. I'm still not the owner, the owner can be reached at 512-940-5053, and his name is David.

I really like this car; it's got a very nice original Arizona chassis with no rust. The chassis hasn’t been detailed. The paint and repair of the fender flares were done nicely, the front bonding strips have been removed where the flares were. I would graft in new bonding strips if I owned the car. The interior is all new Al Knock and the door panels are the original ones. The original door panels have been repaired and I would replace them with new ones if it were my car. The originals aren't bad, but as the remainder of the interior has been replaced, I'd do the door panels, also. I have no financial interest in this car at all, I'm just listing for a friend. I do know the car very well.

The remainder of the car is very nice with a highly detailed engine compartment. All date codes (engine, transmission, rear) are correct and original. Glass and all accessories such as alternator, starter are correctly dated.

I drove it last weekend and it drives and handles well, no radio, so I got to listen to the engine wind up.

Here's a nine minute utube video of the car with some acceleration runs at the end.
