Anybody restoring a COPO should kill to own this car just for the parts..Mint as new black carpet that has never been cut, sill plates, dash cluster, dash pad, jack assembly, wiper arms, window stainless, glass, silver grill, mirrors, door handles etc. You could strip this fine ride, load it up with repo crap, sell it and be in the correct mint parts for your car dirt cheap.
I think I hear 200 people screaming.........

re; back window finish Looks like suede finish to me...and I am no expert. </div></div> Just to add to your point. Every unrestored car I have looked at, owned or certified has had a suede finish factory applied on the package tray trim. I'm not sure why there is even a debate on this point...

Beautiful car Charley. Many possibilities there, or just leave it alone and enjoy the heck out of it.

I think I hear 200 people screaming......... </div></div> I hope this car serves to be a better investment if the new owner leaves it as is. Anybody involved in the hobby should be so lucky as to have this car sitting in their garage as a go-to reference car.... whether you're restoring a COPO or any first generation Camaro, building clones, involved in judging, building or selling reproduction parts, writing reference books, or if you just appreciate looking at the car... and you can drive and enjoy it too! |
