Default Re: WIW? ZL-1 pushrods and guideplates

A late friend of mine (RIP Steve)in 1969 (I think) picked up a 1966 Corvette 427/425 with a blown engine and after reading a magazine article about the ZL-1 engine; decided to "Make" one from the hurt 427. He went to the long-defunct Ray Chevrolet with the magazine because the parts guys didn't have the numbers in their catalogs! He proceeded to order EVERY internal part for a ZL-1 and built an iron version that terrorized the streets, (And anyone who rode in the car). People still talk about it to this day.

I ended up with the disassembled engine (Long story) and ended up selling off most of it years ago.
