OK........I'll look into a set of those.....It appears that offsetting the wheel in some will help tire clearance at the back edge of the wheelwell......

I have 17x8's on the rear of my 70 Nova with plenty of room. Its a 4.5 in offset. I don't remember tire size though?

From the looking I've done, it appears that Torque Thrusts only come in 4.5" or 7" in light grey or 5" or 7" in dark grey......and the T70R is only available in 7"...........

I ran some 16x8 Vintage WheelWorks V45 rims on one of my old 68 Camaros. I know it had 255/50/16 tires in the rear and I think 245's up front. I think the fronts rubbed just a little on the frame at full turn but it was never a real issue for me. With the modern 16" tires, it handled great in the turns. And most people that looked at the car couldn't even tell they were 16" wheels, they look like 15's.

----I have a set of those Vintage WheelWorks 16 inch wheels. Had them on a 1986 El Camino and they worked so well I kept them when I sold the car. Im still looking for a car to put them on.......Bill S
