One of the things I don't understand, and maybe it's because the marketing czars are trying to keep younger people from realizing this (most people can't remember what happended 3 months ago, let alone 3 years ago), is that VH already reformed and toured with Roth in 2007, so I'm not sure what the big deal is about a "reunion tour". And unless Michael Anthony is back playing bass (which is highly unlikely, based on their past relationship), it's really not a "reunion", just the same tour they did a few years ago. The debut Van Halen album is one of the all-time greats in rock history.

Just like in the 1990's when they said that Bob Dylan was getting back together. I'll believe it when I see it.
Is David Lee Roth growing his hair back? |

It doesn't look like it. Click on that link at the top, and you'll see them on the Van Halen website. Dave is acting.....well....corny as usual.
You think of Van Halen as a rough and tumble, in your face, hard rock band. They always looked so cool on their album covers. It's always a little embarrassing (for us VH fans) when Roth acts like Robin Williams, trying desperately to get a laugh, in front of a bad crowd. I think the first VH album is like other groundbreaking debut albums, like Boston, Guns N' Roses, or Nirvana, but Van Halen's debut never seems to get the credit it deserves.
