Fill the torn area with Rema Tire putty and grind/buff smooth. It is a two part vulcaninzing process and is incredibly tuff. Industrial supply houses sell it as well as farm equipment dealers.

I had a 4&quot; long cut/gouge on my farm tractor tire that was 3&quot; deep and it fixed it right up. Tractor is 6000 lbs and does plowing/brush hogging and snow plowing and it is still in place 4 years later.
