----I can tell you for a fact that present owner told me that the tires on the hugger car pictured are the tires that came on that car, on those wheels when the car was delivered new.....Bill S

I was at the Gibb dealership on May 7th of 1969. There were maybe 20 of these cars sitting on the lot just East of the showroom.
Although I don't have photos to prove it, I clearly recall Firestone Wide Ovals on some of the cars. Why do I recall that? I had Firestone Red Stripe Wide Ovals on my '68 Chevelle and hated them! Couldn't wait to burn them off and replace them with Goodyears. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/dunno.gif[/img] I made a comment to one of the guys with me that those tires wouldn't last long on THOSE cars. [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/wink.gif[/img] Guess I was wrong, eh.

That first blue ZL1 has no smog on the motor.
Did they not all come with the smog or did the owner or previous owner change the manifolds?
