FOR SALE: This is a beautiful set of rare Magnesium MotorWheel Fly 15" X 3.5" front wheels in the GM 4 3/4 bolt pattern. They have been stored indoors for many years and are in great shape besides needing polishing. If you know anything about vintage Magnesium wheels, then you know the routine and maintenance required to keep them polished. The area around the lug nut holes have absolutely NO galling as the result of the proper lug nut washer being used. The early versions of these wheels were known for cracking but these are the revised & improved versions that have the red resin between the halves of the wheel. MotorWheel was a wheel supplier to the BIG 3 automakers and were the manufacturer of the famous "Magnum" Wheels of the Musclecar era. In the early '70's, they decided to enter the Drag Racing market and these Fly's were the result. These were THE hot set-up on nearly every top-running NHRA Pro Stock and Super Stock car in the country in the Seventies. They are the ultimate Day Two Drag Racing wheel to many people. It just doesn't get any better than a set of Magnesium Fly's! Like I said, they need to be re-polished and then that spectacular Magnesium shine will return.
