I just bought a 69 camaro and i was courious if anyone has ever seen this COMBO.
its a TRIM CODE 714 = YELLOW HOUNDSTOOTH. and a PAINT CODE 40 = BUTTERNUT YELLOW .. NEVER SEEN ONE and NOT SURE HOW IT WOULD LOOK... with the Bright yellow interior against a soft pale yellow im not sure if i should go back to original or not... Lets see a picture of that trim tag. Sounds very odd. Any info on the original owner?

well , i did find some info and found a pick of one with these codes.
WHAT I FOUND READS. Less than 1% of all 1969 Camaros were painted code 40 Butternut yellow ... as it was discontinued early in production for 69 and replaced with DAYTONA YELLOW for the camaros. To top that off , it reads that the 714 has been heard of but very few known ... the one i found from Barrett Jackson in 08 is all i could come up with at this time ... AND THE ONE I HAVE NOW. ? Any one know of any others or have any more helpfull info , that would be appreciated. |

The BJ one looks nice enough from the outside, but man, just not sure about that brighter yellow interior.
I guess you'd have to see it in person to really judge.

There was one of those in my neck of the woods that I looked at about 15 yrs ago (it was for sale). Not sure where the car ended up. It was a standard coupe.
