Default Re: Yenko Chevelle Prices

Sure prices are down, but I have to agree with Charley on that most buyers plan for Mecum Indy and Scottsdale January. There are WAY WAY WAY to many auctions now and its seems there are 1 or 2 good cars at every sale that sneak through the cracks. This was the first year that I can remember missing the St. Charles sale and man do I regret it!

I ended up with the 71' Gold Hemi Cuda that car was a steal!! But it cost me alot more than it sold for had I been there.. and even after paying more I still think I stole it. People thought something was wrong with it because it sold so cheap but the fact is that the previous owner had owned it well before the big price jumps and was tired of it and just wanted his money back..

Another example that prices aren't anywhere near as low as they seem is that fact that Colin bought the Blue Yenko Chevelle.. I consider Colin one of the more knowledgeable smart car guys out there and I'd bet a case of beer that if you called him and asked him to sell the car you wouldn't come close to buying it for anywhere near what he paid.. Definately a case of being in the right place at the right time!
